To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee we re-enacted the Coronation complete with Handel's great anthem, Zadok the Priest. We also enjoyed singing a London Medley, ending with the National Anthem.

Our acapella rendition of the Latin hymn, Tantum Ergo, which we sang at the Cathedral in St. Omer, France, during our recent visit.
Despite there only being a few of us our voices filled the Cathedral and the acoustics gave it a magical and otherworldly feel!

Year 3 have added the singing name 're'.
We can now sing the pentatonic scale, 'do', 're', 'mi', 'so' and 'la'.

As part of the work on Pop music the children have really enjoyed listening to and learning 'Stand by Me'. To play this they used the 'C', 'Am', 'F' and 'G7' chords.

While learning about Pop music the children learnt to play 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' by Tight Fit.
To play this they use the 'C', 'F' and 'G' chords.

While exploring Reggae music the children have enjoyed both listening to and learning to play '3 Little Birds' by Bob Marley.
To perform this the children use the 'C', 'F' and 'G' chords.

The children learnt to play 'Paddy works on the Railway'. This is a traditional folk song which has been performed by The Pogues.
