We would like to draw to the attention of parents our practices and procedures in relation to unplanned closures.
These may be due to extreme weather conditions or other factors outside our control.
The safety and well being of all School users which includes Children, Parents & Staff is taken seriously and will always be paramount in our considerations.
We realise that Children travel to School from outside the immediate area, and there may be different weather conditions only a short distance away.
Therefore if you have concerns please contact the School office.
Northumberland County Council provides information on their website, a link is available via ours – Click here
In addition we will post information on our website – News section, Twitter account, facebook account & send out a special message via our e newsletter facility.
If practicable a text message will be sent out to all recorded recipients.
(The text message system can only be activated from the School premises, therefore if access to the School is not possible these can not be sent).
Please ensure we have your current mobile phone number, the more family members who sign up to receive our e newsletter alerts the easier the information can be disseminated.
If the premises are to be closed during a School day due to an unplanned event and your child is to be collected by someone we are not aware of has your authority please contact the School office to allow this to happen.
Comprehensive weather and travel information is available within a dedicated section of this site – Click here
